1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HeartLab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HeartLab is an AI-powered relationship guidance platform that provides conversational support through AI personas. The Service is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or medical advice. Our AI experts provide general guidance and emotional support based on relationship psychology frameworks, not clinical diagnosis or treatment.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not use the Service to upload, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service, or have the consent of a legal guardian.

4. Account and Subscription

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis as selected during checkout. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information. We reserve the right to change subscription fees with reasonable notice.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, branding, and AI personas, is owned by HeartLab and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated responses are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional advice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeartLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which HeartLab operates. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
